Mystic Beach Studio...

I was first drawn to silversmithing when I saw
jewelers using local rocks. I have been an avid
rockhound from a young age & this was very exciting to
me. I looked around my environment & found numerous
treasures I longed to use. I began with beach rocks,
beach glass & beach pottery. Then I accidentally broke
a favorite antique plate & decided to try using it in
jewelry. Now I enjoy the great fun of combining the
colors & patterns provided by the pottery I use. I have also
started doing my own lapidary work & am delighted
with the added design freedom that this
allows me.

I live close to nature on the wooded coast of the
Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. I spend my days
making jewelry & going on treasure hunts with my dogs.
I travel most months to shows selling to and getting
feedback from the public. It is a good life. I look
forward to seeing what's ahead for me on this path. It
has been very rewarding so far.
